The Dark Night: By Kacie Lampman
The dark night sky sweeping over the day
Tears rolling down her cheeks like the river through the bends
The sadness sets in and depression starts
The pain that was held deep inside is finally out
Everyone can now see who she really has become
The silver shiny blade held in her hand
The thoughts of suicide that runs through her mind
Finding out that her life is now meaningless.
No more light in the dark room
Nothing is left to protect her in this world.
She has been hurt way too many times.
Just like the men who have left her tearing apart.
Her heart is shattered into millions of pieces.
How can she ever trust again?
As she drags the shiny silver razor across her arm
Tears steam even harder down her face
She realizes that this pain she has cased is worse
The blood trickling down her arm
The loud scream from her mouth
The light taking over the dark,
The night becoming day
It's over, it wasn't worth it
Time to change the way she lived
Time to become something new
Something she wasn't
